These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of all website design packages and web hosting plans. These Terms and Conditions form part of your agreement with Web Design Buckinghamshire (“WDB”). Your agreement is with Web Design Buckinghamshire and not the designer or technician who works on your website.
Your Designer is employed with Web Design Buckinghamshire and you are entering into a contract with Web Design Buckinghamshire. Your instructions to commence your website build will constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions when you will become a client (a “Client” or “you”).
Your agreement with us is made up of your completed and signed Design Agreement and these Terms and Conditions. These documents together form a legal agreement between us. Please ensure you have read the Agreement carefully and understand the terms within it. If you have any questions, please ask a member of our team.
Web Designer Obligations
The web designer will build and launch your website based on your Web Design Brief. Your website will be built and delivered live within the time frame suggested during your initial consultation and with a maximum launch time of 12 weeks.
You must provide the information and website content your website designer requests in a timely fashion. This is to ensure your website launch schedule remains on track. You understand that the quality of media and content you provide will have an impact on the overall quality of your website.
Web Design Payment Process
We employ a three stage payment process which is as follows:
Payment 1 – 1/3 of total design fee to be paid in full before commissioning your Website Design Brief
Payment 2 – 1/3 of total design fee to be paid in full immediately following acceptance of the Website Design Brief
Payment 3 – 1/3 of total fee to be paid in full immediately following your website launch
You should retain a copy of this agreement, the terms and conditions and digital invoice for each payment you make.
Web Hosting Payment Process
On the day your website goes live, you’ll receive an email from WDB with a payment request to setup your annual hosting subscription. This payment must be made with immediate effect.
You can cancel your website build at any point during the build process and prior to your final payment upon successful launch of your website. You will not receive refunds for any of your staged payments throughout the build process.
Your website is deemed complete from the moment it goes live on the internet. After this point, no further edits will be made to your website without you first purchasing a Content Editing Block.
Annual Hosting Fees
We reserve the right to increase the cost of your hosting plan at any time during your annual cycle. Any fee increases will take place at the start of your next billing cycle.
All purchases of Website Design Packages and Website Hosting Plans are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Your website is built on the CMS platform WordPress. You can edit your website yourself with some basic knowledge of how the WordPress platform works. If you edit your website yourself you do so at your own risk and WDB will not be liable for any damage to the website or the website code. If you require WDB to perform edits to your website after completion, you can purchase a Content Editing Block.
Your designer will not perform content re-edits during or after your build phase has completed. A re-edit refers to the act of replacing or editing the same piece of website content more than once.
Website Backup and Reinstallation
WDB perform weekly website backups in order to safeguard your website and its content. If you require WDB to reinstall your website, due to an error you have created whilst editing your own website, this service will be charged at £149.99 per reinstallation.
